Overview

A 2022 notable early childhood book of the year about a little girl whose grandmother helps her get over her anger at not being allowed to join her brother at a pirate party. This book is perfect for children from pre-school to Year 2 who need to deal with disappointment and anger when they do not get their own way.

The team at Learn From Play have made 4 activities for this story to allow young children to get the most out of reading it. The activities are recording your grumbles and then making a boat from these grumbles, creating a boat painting to celebrate Emma and Grandma grumble boats and putting images from the story in order to retell what happened.
