Your Book Week 2025 Toolkit Just Got Bigger!

We’re getting closer to the big event - CBCA Book Week 2025 is just around the corner, and we’ve been busy getting everything ready to make your celebration easier, more exciting and packed with purpose.

Right now, there are 34 CBCA Book Week specific book sets live on the site - with activities matched to notable and shortlisted books from the CBCA list. And we’re not done yet! We’re adding 11 more sets this week, so with 45 books there’ll be something for everyone.

We’ve also created a growing library of themed extras to help bring this year’s 80th anniversary theme, Book an Adventure, to life:

• 19 Book an Adventure activities: including scavenger hunts, passports, story dice, escape room puzzles, mazes, colouring and more;

• 21 costume ideas: ready to share with families for at-home creations, or turn into a fun class activity by making masks together in your classroom.

  
  

Want to keep the fun going at home? You can even send a Book Week activity or two home as homework to spark conversations and get parents involved in the lead-up to Book Week. Everything is designed to help you create a joyful, low-prep, adventure-filled celebration of books and reading.

And something exciting is just around the corner - our very first Playful Parable read-along stories are set to launch the week after next. These original stories blend literacy learning with important social lessons, and we think you and your students are going to love them.
